Yes well done Pompey and those that turned this around for the right result 
I can't however feel disapointed at the way other local DOs have been left to fight the same changes with little or no help from our local area reps, Yes these reps have been overwelmed with the stance local managers have taken but it seems to me that certain DOs have had more support that others leaving DOs like my own left in the cold with the worst DOMs running them.
I'm not going to hide behind a internet name, I was the local rep at Cosham and will admit that 70% of that office let the side down over the past year undermining the work i did and the local union, But it seems to me the 30% that did thier jobs properly and have fought tooth and nail agaist changes that make no sense apart from saving money have been dropped like a stone.
Was i the best union rep? NO, But i did have the respect of my workmates and in our last strike had the best results in the area for people out, I was proud to pick up the phone on strike days to report not only was the support strong at Cosham but as the dispute went on we got stronger, We started off with one full timer going in and a few part timers to just a part timer going in.
I went into the reps job at Cosham fresh and full of passion, I left dissaponted and full of regret and disapoited at the lack of support i felt i got.
I would phone for support and be told to write a letter to the DOM which the area rep would take up, Reps in the main office (Portsmouth) would have multiple computers and printers to do such a task, They had the back up of others in the room for advice and alot of release time, I had a shitty room with a desk and a piece of paper.
I am 100% behind the union and it's stance, I feel however in the solent area thier is a click, If you do not fit in you as a office will be mocked out left out, As i said earlier yes people at Cosham have left the side down, Most i think due to being nieve, But is this really as reason to drop them? Even more so though to drop not only the ones that did realise whats going on but someone like mysself that put myself on the line to be given very little support.
Anyway congrats, And i mean that, Just feel and little pissed off, Take of this as you will, I'm not bitter honest.
