Targeting the sick or rehab people.

Post by darth »

we have a few people who have come back to work from illness, not necessarily accident at work, who have been told if they are not fit to deliver after the end of rehab period ,atos based programme ,will be transferred to the nearest mail centre which is 40 miles away as there is not sufficent work in the office.one person in particular has just recently found out that an operation on his hip has failed and will need further surgery(he is currently on indoor duties as any exertion makes the hip very painful ).the cwu have been informed about this but seems to be watch and wait to see what happens.the chap with the hip has also been threatened with medical retirement in which atos themselves (off the record were amazed )as he was doing what he could do and since he hasnt had the operation how could royal mail press for medical retirement when the op hasnt happened.is this thing happening elsewhere?should the cwu locally do a joint grievance for intimidating the people who are not able to do there deliveries?is this just an example of robust managment that seems to be the keyword for targetting certain groups?

are you the guy on britain's got talent?

i got a tribunal tomorrow. atos declared me fit when obviously there is a problem. they do target people, they do make out false reports, they do state on repoert answers to questions that were not asked, and it's not just posties it's happening to.
atos perform through MEDICAL SERVICES. they get paid bonuses for sending people back to work. they do listen when it suits them but when people tell them about a condition, atos think otherwise and put the opposite in report. atos do visual checks. meaning oh he or she looks alright to me, nothing wrong with them. they do not detect interior symptons. some of their physical checks are flawed.

atos do send people back to work even when it goes against gp advice or even surgeons advice.
and here comes avi cohen! oh i say! at the same end, he's got one back!!

sounds like a culling programme. who advised rm on this part? or was it a manager acting on rm assertion?

makes a change then if atos were amazed by rm assumtions? who needs atos when you got rm management around?? tsk

This is happening everywhere. They want rid of people by whatever means possible. The answer is to take it to an outside solicitor. He will achieve what you will wait an age for leaving it to the numptys that represent you internaly.

Yeah it seems that RM and Atos think that by offering you a place at a near mailcentre :left: that they are fullfilling their responsbility under the reasonable adjustments routine.
The fact that alot of people might be no longer able to drive or find travelling to make their conditions worse an irrelavance, you can refuse to go but then they try and go out of their way to hassle you into taking ill health retirement,I know as I`m currently getting the hassle off both RM and Atos.
Oh and like Johnsouthwales said Atos will lie and put a load of rubbish on your reports to RM,if the DOM wants you out Atos will go out of there way to accomadate them.
Good Luck John in your tribunal...I have a feeling I will be joining you soon at the tribunal.
