This is worth a look,i have to say,so much talk about quality of service yet i can never
remember it being so bad.
Some 'interesting' concepts further down the report.

Taken from that report....
"At present, we have no specific indications of likely industrial action in 2009/10. However, the climate for the 2009 pay review and the size of the efficiencies required during the year require us to be alive to the risks. The union's political campaign over future ownership of the company will bring additional complications. "

The term ownership doesn't suggest a minority partner to me,or is that too cynical?

I am must be loads of small business people out their who work from home so fed up with either getting mail delivered so late in the day or mail going missing due to another change of postie or both.

It must be a good thing now checques are not used much compared to a few years ago ,you get a small buisness waiting for checques not getting them till late dinner time then having to get them to bank,is that what customers call quality service or crap service.

See what you mean. It says on last page
To deploy a minimum of 375 revisions in Delivery Offices. This will balance the outdoor walks to a minimum of 3.5 hours (excluding replenishment).

It's working for me.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
