Our drivers(4)do not ips they throw off there mech and parcels then go out and do the reg at about 07.30.
Two duties lay out all the work and do not ips as they then throw off there own walks.
Two other walks do not ips(tues and Sat they do) as they have very heavy and long walks and were not finishing.
Every one else is on it what is about 26 bods.

Re: IPS
I can't see where it's all going to end,in the not so distant past, anybody that was full-time
was due to sort on IPS.
Now we must have a 60/40 split between full-time/part-time,thus creating problems,as
any new entrants are no longer trained to go on IPS,and due to cost saving measures a
full-timer is usually taken of IPS to prep an AG walk.
The saving grace as far as the business is concerned,is so many full-timers start early,to
get their walk ready, but even better for them,so do the AG's.
In our office if the AG's started on time, they'd have to pull more full-timers off stack to get
their walks ready, and we simply couldn't cope.
We already have managers throwing walks off,and their expecting to lapse even more duties??
The managers still seem to think that they don't need to plan ahead, and can simply deal with
the situation on the day, last week it came to a head, and for the first time in nearly 5 years i
had to leave in,asked the manager where he wanted me to sign,as for operational reasons i
couldn't complete,no problem was the response,
was due to sort on IPS.

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
