Rubber Bands AGAIN.

Just watched the news on B.B.C -the bald headed Ron, who wants to fine Posties 80 quid for dropping
bands, is suggesting people send them to him, and he is going to bounce them back to Royal Mail!

And the BBC presenter gave him a ball of rubber bands which had been collected
yesterday inside the BBC offices.
The guy from Keep Britain Tidy should start collecting cigarette ends, KFC boxes and
McDonalds polystyrene cups. I could send him a few from my front garden every day.

We should be able ti fine dustmen and recyclers who round here seem to get more rubbish on the floor than in dustcart, if we could i could retire.

I know mine go back in the bag ,but sometimes they do get trapped on the bottom of the bundles as you take them out .I don't think many posties throw them away on purpose .

BBC are always on our backs anyway and never have a good word to say or even bother to report the CWU side----lets complain to them of crap repeats and programmes for the ripp off license fee!!!

Everyone has fifteen minutes fame so they say he just wasted his on biodegradable rubber band's?!. And by the way for all the dog owners i cannot stop my dog eating bands on the floor try controlling your dog and keep it on a lead!.

I don't drop them on purpose but sometimes they fall out of your bag or pocket.
Once this women complained to my boss cos there were some bands on the grass outside the pouchbox.Erm pity she didn't find out the person who's dog did 4 turds in the same spot.

Reminds me of this one time I took a bag out of a pouch box.
The bag had a hole in the bottom and I didn't notice the proliferation of dog s**t on the ground. Hundreds of letters and several parcels got caked in the stuff.
On that particular day I would have understood if someone felt they got a 's**t' service.

Perhaps given the relative position of bands and turds the offending pouchbox pooch may well have ingested the said bands at an entirely different location then delivered his simultaneous deposits on your patch.{Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers are notorious for this behaviour}

I didn't think any would. I didn't think many would not pick up any that they dropped, say, when they snap. However, after a different guy did my walk the other week... I couldn't believe all the bands all the way round. 100's of them. Also, bags left in pouch boxes, and worst of all, letters at one house half in the letterbox. You know how these leaflet distributors can't push anything all the way through? Well, one house had been away, and their letters, yes Royal Mail letters, were still stuck in letterbox. Shoddy worker.
