TAX BREAK FOR LAUNDRY

Can anyone confirm that we posties receive a small tax break for washing our uniform, if so what is your tax code and how do you apply for the allowance. :confused

:nana Yes, you should get a tax allowance for laundry,It is miniscule. Phone up tax office, or speak to your boss.

But the Tax Rebate you get, when you first apply for the Tax Allowance, is well worth having.

From memory,i think it's already done,it's automatically in your tax code/wages.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yep your right ,but I would consider swapping my laundry allowance to get the five years pensionable pay back :chuckle :chuckle

For me, it was the Tax Rebate. The difference in my take home pay is negligable. But the rebate was very welcome.
