Trying to change start times

Ok need a bit of help here to see where i stand. I was f/t for 7 years then went back to p/t a year and a half ago when my son was born so i could collect him in time from the carer, all was going fine til the network 2007 came in and we had to move our start times forward upto 1 hour but our DOM tried putting p/t forward by 2 hours making me 8-2p.m which was no good as i need to pick my son up at 1p.m. So i filled out the family friendly/flexible working form out had a meeting with an indipendent DOM and area manager and they agreed that starting 45 mins ahead was acceptable, so i have been doing my agreed hours for the last 14 months or so without any real issues but now we have a new DOM who aint happy with my times and says they should be a yearly review. I should him paper work stating that once my times were agreed that this is a pernament change to my contract, he looked really p####d off. But now we are getting pegasus put in in the next few weeks and his proposals are starting all p/t duties 2hr 15 mins after f/t ones so effectivly changing evry p/t persons start time by over 2 hours without even asking them and meaning there is no duty for me to go for in the revision as there are none that start at my time.I would also like to point out that there is also 3 other people in my office in the same circumstances as me.

Get onto your rep or area rep asap. They cannot change your start time. A postie at our office has signed the family friendly form and he gets to come in 45 minutes before us so that his finishing time meets his needs. They will be forced to do the same with you if they make the changes in your office.

Yes get the local rep or area rep involved,no Dom can just start doing what they want with out the CWU being involved and knocking up a local office agreement involving all parties.

what does this family friendly form look like. as i start earlier cause of family and have done so since the change in start itmes but i have nothing in writing

Because of the later start times over a year ago that was agreed it now makes it harder for parents to get home to collect children from nursery or child minders. Royal Mail agreed that postpersons with a young family would be eligible to start earlier than the majority of staff. They have to fill in a form that managers should have. If they dont have any then get onto your area rep who should be able to get a form for you. New starts are not eligible for this unless they had started when we were on early starts. Hope this helps
