We've had to lift them like that for years, in the RDCs. Whether they are in RSCs, or Yorks. There was a Risk Assessment, when it started. So unless there is a problem, specific to the way you sort them. You're stuck with them.

To give you an idea: We have to sort 3 RSCs, (usually holding between 500 - 644Kg each) of Mags, etc., every Hour. And believe me: That Strapex, really starts to hurt your fingers, after a couple of Cages!

if you are in a D.O. ask for a copy of the agreementy on presentation of work to be displayed for all to see as is your right.
We dont accept it unless its trayed up. Our drivers know to leave it and the manager at the MC knows it will get left. Our drivers also wont bring yorks if they think they're overweight, telll a lie they bring back one as proof of an overweight york and if possible take photos with their camera phones.
Our leaving of work at the MC has become rare to say the least, we don't take the pee out of them and don't expect or let them take it out of us. i'll not deny there are operational exceptions (e.g ashortage of yorks or trays ) but it is for 1 day only and the MC is expected to rectify the problem with a movement order
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

If the Yorks are overweight, then you definately shouldn't be accepting them. No matter where you work. I thought you were asking whether you should have to accept them without Trays. Sorry.
