Medical retirement

Post by Andy4151 »

I’m being assessed for medical retirement at the moment , I have worked for Royal Mail for 33 years and I’m on a 25 hour a week contract, I was wondering what payment I might receive if this goes through

Is the 16 weeks and 12 weeks based on your basic pay or does it include allowances?

16 weeks tax free (not sure about allowances) and pilon taxed, pilon based on service, i think 10 years gives 12 weeks, could be wrong
