So our office manager has decided that we are no longer allowed
to use our on-site car park due to health and safety reasons.
We have to now park our cars out on the street which sometimes means we have to park in residential areas 5-10 minutes away. However the managers are allowed to use it.3 cars in a car park that holds up to 30 spaces. There is separate parking for vans.
Can our manager enforce this while using it for himself and his supervisors?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Manager can still park there. To be fair they are extremely tired after walking to the kettle and back 10 times a day. Get the Union involved

Re: Can management stop us using staff car park?
No. They cant clamp it,they cant tow it, I'm betting theres no sign describing fines for parking or a pay and display ticket machine so unless it's full up with RM Van's or charging points for electric vans, no. We have a lot more Van's than we used to so even though we wernt told we couldn't park in our car park there are very few spaces now so most have to park off siteSpookyElectric wrote: ↑05 Apr 2023, 11:38So our office manager has decided that we are no longer allowed

If the local residents start complaining about the extra cars now parked in the surrounding streets, give them the number for the COM and let the COM explain why they think you can't park in the staff car park any longer
