Learn a few things on my visits to NDC. Apparently when the new Hub opens it will run alongside NDC. Originally it was to replace it, no savings there then ! Applied for 4 trains to run into the Hub, they have been given 1. However no one thought to include duties to load/unload the train in the ongoing duty pick. No gatehouses at the new Hub so the current duty holders have no idea what roles they can apply for, they have however been told that the gates at NDC will probably be manned by outside contractors ! As it’s a senior Union Rep telling them the Union must be happy to allow this outsourcing. Happy days.

It was suggested that the existing NDC would close when the New Hub Opened

Trying to find the thread but from a quick search it looks like the landlord has got a new tenant lined up

They were told last year there was another tenant waiting to move in, but heard last week that going to keep NDC for another 5 years.

Typical of RM when something like this will affect an office, the staff in the affected office are always the last to know about it

Interesting that im being told today, that an announcement is pending that NDC is staying open, despite we have all been told its closing in June, making sure we all jump to new building first.
