Preference exercise by 27th Nov, lf you want the sweetener sum, don't know when we'll find out but your personal deal which presumably has your finish date, if you are one of the lucky ones ,has to be signed by 31st Jan. Not sure when the 12 weeks notice to get the sum tax free would start from. Its all very vague, not legally binding and probably won't even happen. Who knows. I've got my finger and toes crossed for an exit with some cash though.

My understanding is that 31st January is the date that you would be officially notified as either yay or nay. :hmmmm

Reasonable to suggest that everything would settled & your exit achieved by financial year end 31st March 2023. :wave

Good luck to all :thumbup

The reality will be those who abuse the sick procedure, disciplinary and conduct record will be the first to go. Happens that way in every other company.

Told today by manager that he would choose who goes on the preference exercise and that every day we strike more names will be added but on compulsory terms and on minimum pay out, again he said he would be choosing.
But then again my manager is a f***ing c***.

Not too sure what you mean by this?

The deal is max of 39 weeks + £6k if you sign up by 27th November. That total will be tax free as long as it's under £30k.

There may also be a PILON amount payable depending on exactly when you're given notice to leave, compared to your actual leaving day. That amount is taxable.
It's a max of 12 weeks, but you may actually have to work that notice period!

RM have previously said that redundancies will occur between February and August 2023. Presumably coinciding with the revisions that every office will go through.

No way it will work like that to much bias preference to mates etc.

It's being done by who has the worst sick and conduct record. Well, that's how it's being done in our Mail Centre.

. More worrying is that after the preference exercise is exhausted the compulsory redundancies will be picked by management, plenty of room for old scores to be settled.

Probably compulsory redundancy for CSP staff when all the CSP points apparently get closed in January?
