Now that the CWU has announced new strike action,,what will be the unions response to Royal Mail / Parcelforce using the agency workers that are populating the workplace,?
I had a guy posting my mail who could barely read english..his bundle was pre sorted and he was sent out to deliver,,he is a Romainian National.,he asked me to translate the next bundle for him,,
Agency drivers in Parcelforce will be used to cross the picket line and do work under the threat of no show,no dough..
this is a despicable way of forcing workers who are desperate for work, to battle with their concience ,,decent hardworking people trying to put food on the table and pay their way..who will be told in no uncertain terms that they will not have any more work if they dont cross the picket line..and these guys will not have union protection.
As i understand it,,if an agency driver refuses to cross the picket line,then that agency worker will not be paid for that day nor will he/ she get any more work from that agency possibly impacting on their universal credit payments.,,its a big ask,,
