Important update: cyber threats
Due to the escalating situation between Russia and Ukraine and the government’s announcement of economic sanctions against Russia, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and leading experts are warning of increased cyber threats and potential online attacks toward the UK.
This is particularly important for all of us in Royal Mail, as we are a higher risk target as we are a part of the UK critical national infrastructure due to the valuable role we play in supporting the UK economy with the services we provide.
Whilst this threat exists please take extra care and be more aware both at home and at work when using email or social media, particularly before clicking on links and when receiving unsolicited emails /communication by using the skills you have already learnt to be cyber safe.
Below is some additional information if you need any reminders or if you need to report an incident.
- If you suspect a ‘phishing email’, use the 'Report Message' button in Outlook or forward the email to: spam.awareness@royalmail.com from any device, delete it from your inbox
Report incidents to the IT Helpdesk - 0345 608 2555 (TAKE ACTION: Save this number in your phone, in case your work device is infected).
