Job Sharing

Post by fatfeet »

I am sure this is a topic close to a lot of people's hearts, particularly my generation (ancient)

Knowing that the workload will get heavier and heavier over the years, and while challenging for younger workers it can be a health issue for others. My solution is to job share and I believe, in view of last Christmas, will appeal to many others.

Could we be able to set up a national internal jobshare website so that people who cannot find a partner in their own office, can access other local offices for others wishing to jobshare.

Very good idea, 2 posties in our office are talking about it.think they said that you work Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and then a week off. Then Thursday Friday Saturday Monday Tuesday Wednesday and week off again. But I suppose you could choose a different pattern, not sure how big of a drop money would be.or if you can go back to full time again

Yes, 6 days n, 7 days off ii a great way of slowing down. Christmas overtime should there be a need.

The problem is for smaller offices and finding partners who also want this.

If we had a national board who would be looking for a partner, this would be a great advantage to those who wished and happy to commute a bit further.
