New entrant 6 month termination of contract

If a New Entrant is deemed by the DOM to have not reached a satisfactory level at 6 months and terminates the contract, is there an appeal process for that decision?

Got to be crap to be terminated in my personal opinion, but then again, with rogue managers...

See this link, it's what 'should' happen to new starters, chances are it hasn't, and if the new starter hasn't had enough help you could perhaps go with that...

New entrant induction process

Now the above is quite old and there is a lot of new stuff the workplace coaches now get which will probably be different, if not more substantial.
If you do not have a workplace coach, then get the union on to getting the up to date stuff.

The fact is any employer can now terminate your contract of employment within the first two years for any reason and the dismissal automatically fair.

The expectation on any probationary period is now an illusion

I'm three months into a six month contract. My contract of employment clearly states that I will be finishing in April. I hope I'll be offered another contract after that, but if I'm not, there'll be absolutely nothing I can do about it. My current contract is for 5 hours a week, which amounts to a zero hours contract. I work 40-45 hrs every week, but they are not obliged to offer me any more than the 5 (Sunday), and I am not obliged to accept any work that's offered to me. I regularly get texts at 7am to come in that day, but I can say no if I want.
