I know a couple of posties who'll offer to do all the shifts, what makes it even sadder though is they've got kids who'll be off school and they're definitely not rock bottom desperate for the money.

No ta. The four days off is almost priceless given we can't book annual leave off when we actually need it.
I've done enough overtime this period to not bother, the boxing day pay on offer is meh anyway.
A full on xmas of being fat with the family, and a few days recovery

We don't need managers on a Sunday, unnecessary intervention. The team leader goes out on delivery themselves, along with everyone else. So what would a manager do once we've all gone out on delivery? Sit there and...?
