Re: Office failures
No no no, no pictures 100%!
Appreciate the stress levels, maybe contact your local press.
I have possibly an idea to have an anonymous forum where you don't have to log on to post.
I will have a think.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Office failures
Number One !! It would be easier to list the depots not failing, then the ones that are presently !!
Like postman/true blue terrier on here know re regular E-Mails they know all over the country Depots in huge trouble,
Overtime Agency Staff only way Christmas be done this year
Workforce, Fatigued and as our CEO pointed out Sickness worse than 2020 but he wants to know why ??
i always accepted you haveto have someone in charge-but often ask myself how they get that high up re ability or more importantly
Common Sense and Understanding the problem/s and dealing with them !!!!!
Press seem to have got hold of it now all over UK - Re local press and noticed MPs becoming more involved also, and local councillors
Using some Rhetoric !! which usually comes from Senior Management !! no substance !!
Fundamentally is basic role-aka COLLECT/SORT/DELIVER and if everyone was singing from the same hymm sheet-ie Full time
Depots no doubt, be cleared re everyone indoor role-work more as a team and easier to cover absences/problems etc
But when you have depots with 6/7 different contracted hours, to many part timers, No parcel drivers etc etc
You cannot work as a TEAM Mr Thomson with those above things !!
I joined late in life aka 40 odd
Worked in Motor Trade/Insurance/Packaging previously I had never seen a more un part time job than that of a postman !!! due to so much manual work involved
Full timers left, are ageing/tiring falling by the wayside now EVEN LEAVING !! never heard of 10 years ago that !!
Line Managers just firefight daily to plug the holes
It was not like that when I joined ??
But then again those of us who tell the truth know the business has exploded re parcels/mail since early 2000s, re population rise of over 8 million and more businesses than ever despite high street failing

Re: Office failures
This thread is on Workplace, posted up by Simon...
Simon Thomson
Team - I get sent a ton of things everyday - this one I felt worth sharing - if you are struggling - for whatever reason please let us know - we are always happy to help....
With regard to my comment around an 'anonymous' forum.
The software has a feature where you can allow 'guest' postings in any forum you wish.
What 'could' happen is I could create a new forum where I can ok guest postings.
What that would mean is you could either log out and post in said forum, or use a different browser where you would not be logged in.
I would not know who you are 100% even with your IP because we are using 'Cloudflare' due to a server attack we had a while back.
OR
log into Workplace, be honest in what you post and be sensible, Simon has always said...
team - tell the truth - be respectful - be open to other points of view - if you are doing these three things, post post post post....
OR
Phone a helpline...
DO NOT POST PHOTOS ON HERE!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Re: Office failures
Words can say more than pictures.
In our office yesterday there was about 20 sleeves of small packets not sorted.
Probably half a dozen York's of Tracked not touched other being moved around the office, making them harder to count.
Three full York's of mail not sorted.
At least six duties didn't go out today, all van shares and all because of no staff and/or too many Tracked which were obviously given priority.
Keep reading these threads Simon and keep going with your disrespectful comments. The country are not as foolish as you think. RM Christmas will be the biggest failure in 500 years of a once proud service.

Re: Office failures
The worry is with you guys possibly getting busted and being caught taking the things.
I couldn't live with the fact that someone gets the sack for breaking the rules for the site because those above have their head in the sand.
Just post post post, but be truthful, do not exaggerate and be respectful.
You can also send me stuff through the sites contact form, you can just make up an email address and it will still get to me.
Like liam@ilovesimon.com or summin like that...

Re: Office failures
I'd willingly take the bullet and get sacked,After 35 years i've had enough it's only a matter of weeks before i plan to resign anyhow.
The job has become an embarassment now and i don't think my office is one of the really bad ones, still waiting for the revision but still walks are left for days on end with the usual just do the tracked and specials mantra,Obviously an emergency dildo sent tracked takes priority over letters.

Re: Office failures
If you get sacked does your pension stay protected or does it get affected? Ive heard of other people in other industry sectors end up with no pension after serious sackable offences.wallop wrote: ↑03 Dec 2021, 17:04I'd willingly take the bullet and get sacked,After 35 years i've had enough it's only a matter of weeks before i plan to resign anyhow.

That is usually if they were sacked for stealing, fraud, serious stuff, and it has to be big as well.Norfolk 'N' Chance wrote: ↑03 Dec 2021, 21:07If you get sacked does your pension stay protected or does it get affected?
