We have an apprentice starting next week who is 22 years of age , is it the case they do a full delivery not 3/4 and what rate of pay should they be on? Thanks

Don't know if you've had a look at this LTB regarding Postal Apprentices:
LTB 248/21 - National Joint Statement - Resourcing & Recruitment Including the Reintroduction of Postal Apprentices
Attachment 3 relates to delivery structure. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like they do 3/4 duty.
Attachment 4 relates to remuneration. Looks like current Adult Recruit Rate at age 22.

So they will be given a walk straight in the door while those who have been in years are still reserves?

Sounds great

Just give the bloke a job and leave it at that for Christs' sake.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes he's older than one of the proper new entrants, but hes entitled to 10 day induction, all well and good for a 16 year old but not 22
