Duties are being created that have Sunday in them as a normal working day, delivering lats , on a six week rotating day off basis, so 4 out of six Sundays worked.
My question is, do the Sundays attract Sunday pay rate ? No manager at office seems to know. Bit unfair if not as others working overtime on Sunday do get an increased hr rate.
Anyone heard anything about this.
It's gonna be a big saving for the business if they shoehorn Sundays into new duties but on standard rate. Do the CWU even know about this. According to my manager they've probably signed it off already. Cheers.

They knew about it when they allowed the BT engineers to be shafted in this way many years ago now. No premium rate for Sunday working and you can have your weekend on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
The only surprise is that it's taken RM so long to catch on..

Sunday conditioned hours (part of your duty) historically pays a premium at around £17.50 ph but they are in talks so watch this space...

It's an extra £5.70 ish per hour.
Yes it's current and yes there are duties with Sunday as part of their conditioned hours although nowhere near what they used to be.

As a part timer, I received a letter in February asking if I would like to work Sundays and be made up to a full timer? The letter also advised that by working Sundays, the position would attractive Sunday pay rate. The letter went on to advise that the full time position would be reviewed every three months and that applicants would hear by mid March as to wether their application would be successful.
Wanting full time hours, I applied and despite a reminder, I've heard absolutely nothing.
