Evacuation at Plymouth Mail Centre

Post by POSTMAN »

Due to the evacuation of staff at our Plymouth Mail Centre and Plymouth Delivery Office earlier today, mail processing has been affected due to an ongoing security incident.

We're sorry that mail due for delivery in the PL1 to PL6, PL8 and PL9 postcode areas today will be subject to delay.

Customer Service Point

The Customer Service Point for Plymouth and Plymouth North Delivery Offices, located within the mail centre building, is currently closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these circumstances beyond our control. We'll add any new information to our Service Updates page as and when available.
Kind regards,
Royal Mail Customer Services

We're pleased to confirm, yesterday’s security incident at Plymouth Mail Centre has ended, and services are now recovering.

All deliveries should take place in the PL1 to PL6, PL8 and PL9 postcode areas today. However, due to mail on hand, you may notice an increase in mail volume the delivery time may be different to usual.
