Re: Park and loop
I believe its 40 minutes for a loop using a lwt and 20 minutes if you can't use a lwt on a loop

Re: Park and loop
You can leave the VAN as long as you like.
The lwt/hct's have a time limit depending on how scummy your area is if you have to leave them to deliver to flats ect.
Rule of thumb is around 1 minute and you have to keep the trolley in sight.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Park and loop
I thought they did away with the high, medium and low risk categories fairly soon after they introduced them.
1 minute for the lwt and 10 minute max for the HCT.
I don't think any of the planners ever read the rules anyway.
Our planner clearly came from the poshest part of Amsterdam that is totally flat and where a crime has never been recorded.
People are delivering to blocks of flats with the lwt sat outside.
Integrity of the mail? Nobody seems to care as long as the lapsing gets done.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Park and loop
I think it's down to personal choice, our duties have planned driver/walker loops but those who are capable of working together as a team tweak it as required, some split them down into micro loops, personally I'd sooner be no further than 20 minutes from the van.
