election material not paid again.

Post by wazer »

So far we've had one payment 3 weeks ago and none since. We delivered over 32 different candidates. Can we refuse to deliver anymore till we get payed. First excuse they had nobody to do payments, then we was told it will be in this weeks wage, checked on line no payment. Everyday we go in to more, when you just cleared. Im pissed off we r only getting 3.7 and some areas 6.Asked Dom he said its a local agreement. Who said yes to this and why r the union not on case.

The reasons for the difference in payments are lost in the mists of time. It is a historical anomaly.
The union isn't on the case because a unified payment might mean some areas* receiving less than they currently do in order to balance things out.
* you know - the strong areas.

I asked the Dom and managers on who agreed on the lower payments and They said it was a local agreement before they were there.!!!!! I asked them who decides and signs off local agreements and is there copy's. Had the management shrug.

Many many years ago before any of us were here different areas had agreed different pay rates for the delivery of election material.
This has never been revisited in over 25 years and possibly longer.

The original agreements are probably in hieroglyphics on a piece of papyrus. (signed by Noah on behalf of God and a donkey on behalf of the CWU)

Asked the Cwu rep in office to look at this. There are a number of staff want to know about local agreements especially overpayments. If I get no reply within week, going to get in touch Acas to see wot the rules r. Just pissed off with being fobbed off constantly.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
