Service duration pay rise

I've been employed by RMG (parcelforce) for 7 months now, but want to try being a postie instead. Almost all the vacancies on the RM success factors website say for such a job you get a slightly higher wage after 6 months and another rise after 12 months.

Does that mean 6/12 months in that particular role, or after 6/12 months RMG service?
