Yet another thread dissolves into a personalities type discussion rather than trying to help each other out and share information and tactics.

It's getting boring now chaps can't we have any discussion without any put-downs of people who happen to have a different opinion.

Only trying to represent and emphasise the real problems experienced by many posties, in the face of complete irrelevance or compassion from a supposed Union Rep. His I'm (we're) alright Jack approach hardly benefits any readers predicament who do not enjoy the same benefits he professes to enjoy. Must do their self esteem the world of good and fill them with encouragement, that there are people out there who understand and support their plight!
Much more galling when coming from a Union Rep, absolutely unbelievable and irresponsible.
A personality type discussion, eventually maybe, but ones flippant attitude is hardly helpful in the sharing of information that improves a bullied persons lot or more especially providing useful or practical tactics to achieve it.

Ok if it’s advice you need why didn’t you just ask, here goes then. It important to get as many people as possible in your unit to join the union. Once you have that you can begin teaching them what managers can and can’t do, company policies and rules. The more knowledge you give them the better prepared they are for any conflict that might arise. Knowledge is power after all. Start an office whatsapp group so people have got instant access to people and can get answers quickly to any questions they have. This also gives a unity to the staff members.

The problem you have Tommy is that by attempting to label anyone who doesn't act in the way you believe to be correct as idiots, fools or somehow less worthy you become the bully.

"You think you know someone but really you just know what you want to know".

I'll let you figure out who said that and who he was....
