This website is a great platform for discussion and debate and it has clearly come to the attention of lot of people from inside and outside the business.

My opinion is that allot of postmen/managers do not post here because of the abusive nature of a minority of users and that the site would be far more influential if people respected each other ... whatever their grade.

Clearly the current dispute has been a bitter one and people are not only concerned about the money they have lost but also about the erosion of their working conditions, pension and MTSF rights so it is always easy to get carried away and to a certain degree that is understandable ... but there are limits ... and some people have devalued the valuable points raised by others on this site by stepping over them.

Moderation is not the answer as we are all adults and should take responsibility for our actions but it is clear to me that some people need to take stock of how they present their arguments.

be careful there's a cock & bull story in those Guardian Comments about how supposedly everybody ganged up on a poor woman with foul mouthed abuse & threats , even Postman Admin joined in -allegedly !

I spent more time in bickering bitter arguements when Hellfail had it's forum. Dom Moderators from Hell threatening to have strikers thrown in jail , Posties goading each other about crossing picket lines and all the docket .

Some of this will be sorted this weekend,i've been too lax on a lot of things, there needs to be a calming session now.
Regardless of who comes on or what their views are there can be some 'over the top' replies.
Fair enough we get the trolls, but not all of them are.
It's 'royalmailchat' and it's for ALL workers and customers.
And for the time being read the rules below, which i think some posters need to have a good look at,this will be updated this week as well.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'm looking at this this weekend, and i know FOR A FACT that i have not abused a customer on here!!
This is the s**t that is coming out now, there are and will be ways to stop a lot of lies and 'selected reading' being posted about this site.
A calming session WILL put an end to this drivel.

Good on yer, Royal Fail. Working for you is like inhabiting the pages of George Orwell's, 1984. We may lose the ability to say EXACTLY what we mean, but try stopping us THINKING it, just try. Every tinpot dictator throughout history has attempted to control what people say, and yes, some have had limited success, but to stop people thinking, now that would be a first.

Now, I'll leave you to try and guess exactly what I think of our colleague's treatment, and the PETTINESS which seems to be a major character flaw in Royal fail management. :Very Happy
