Royal Mail cuts half its later collection times

Just seems a pointless exercise most of the boxes & SPOs in our area are swept 3 times a day (mon - fri) anyway, the tabs only state the final collection time, no hours are being taken out of the collection duties (we have around 20 staff on an even split of 39 & 20 hour contracts) but some boxes are being given to deliveries. We are down to have a 'Medium S' revision. Still, I guess it gives those oh so clever planners something to do to justify their wages...

there are labels going on boxes in our area informing that as from 15th Sept blah blah.... 'collection from this box will be after 9am'..... paving the way for presumably as many collections as they want to plan (using or not using delivery staff)... (though likey to be only one collection when convenient to do so... obviously posting customer can verify wheteher has been collected or not from the retention of the 'daily tag' system informing them on which day ie today or tomorrow the next collection will take place... giving them the oppotunity to go to another box if they have something urgent and the box has already been collected?) and also can go 'live' any time after 15th September... collection staff in our area expecting to be doing some delivery work prior to going on any later/last collections from PO's and businesses
