The reality check would be if all you half arsed idiiots had the courage of your convictions and looked for this great other job you so wonderfully wish for. This is a groundbreaking deal gained by any Union in the public sector and God help any of you "I don't really like it cos the manager speaks to me funny" merchants in another job. And obviously if it's that bad and things are going to get worse you need to stay in he Union for representation when you start failing. Get real if it's that bad I'm sure you can get to the National Brief next week and get your point across rather than the 3 usual who wouldn't be happy with a gold bar every week and just love the sound of their own voice!!!!

People who understand "Tinker ,tailor, soldier, spy" can't understand this deal. There is a 3 year pay deal with loads of strings attached and one of those strings could be a no strike clause. Is this a good deal or a sh*t deal? What is the value of the "legally binding" stuff? Does it make it the best deal ever or is it just tinsel on the turd? Is it good to have a deal nobody can understand?

the most important aspects of the deal has not been resolved or have been sidestepped
Pensions
Deliveries - Workloads and B&H by line managers
non agreement on either of the above under the new deal can't be resolved with industrial action as the union have painted themselves and the membership into a corner by basically agreeing to a no strike deal

Re: A few on here need a reality check
IR Framework now has 2 extra stages - voluntary mediation and external mediation. It will be very difficult for local reps to go to disagreement as it will be hard to find a reason not to go to voluntary mediation. To get a legal ballot for IA, you will have to go through 5 stages.
Members will only be looking at the pay offer so the only way a no vote will succeed is if everyone is persuaded the pay rises are too low and will not keep up with the cost of living. Look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to go on strike this time to get your sh*t deal.

What solution are you looking for on workloads and B&H that could be implemented now so as not to delay the rest of the deal?Godric wrote:LinChong wrote:People who understand "Tinker ,tailor, soldier, spy" can't understand this deal. Royal Mail have been in talks for the best part of a year with the Union to reach a deal .... the facts are Royal Mail are not interested in resolving the issues on workloads and conditions because they either believe their are no issues or they don't want to resolve the issues because it will cost money they don't want to spend .... the Union and Royal Mail sat down for 7 weeks just to get a deal on deliveries where Royal Mail refused to budge one inch and the unions wisdom was to back down and delay the issues in the delivery side of the business whilst the guys on the deliveries (like myself) continue to be shafted and if the deal is agreed the chances of future industrial action based mostly on workloads and B&H by Royal Mail management will be next to impossible
