There was never any credence to the rumour. This modernisation programme is RoyalMail/CWU flagship. They've bet the farm on it and spent all the borrowed cash on the equipment. It is going to have to work, come hell or high water. It may well have slowed down in some areas, at least the real revisions, but the self starters will be rolled out and hailed as a success until such time as the problems are ironed out on the real revisions.

I would imagine those will be suspended until such times as the reasons are investigated and resolved.
It would be madness to continue those given the amount of resources they are eating up.
Self starters don't really count.

Will put it another way, Has delivery methods revisions(eg P&L, HCT)been suspended.
And if not nationally, what is the specific area.London ?

This is not true.

They are pushing ahead.

We had a divisional CWU rep in our office on Friday morning bullying staff into signing off the revision. Ours is a full bundled revision, had gone to Stage 3 disagreement.

The CWU rep was happy to "ballot" 12 staff, using an empty saucepan, and scraps of papaer, and no privacy. We asked him about those not present, those on sick, he said it didn't matter, he needed an answer.

So for anyone telling people to go up to area, or div level if they have any problems with the revision, I'd have to say no, these people (IN OUR OFFICES CASE AT LEAST) are the problem, they are absolutely determined to get this through. We've not had any RM managers round recently, just CWU reps (rep, geddit, you REPRESENT your members?).

we were told that the offices that had been fully implemented were a shambles and our office is suspended for the forseeable future.

no doubt if there is a vote involved our office will get a yes vote as it seems our people have already spent the £1000 before we have got it
