as well
Well I have just seen the presentation to the Managers and it says "Saturday normal day finish times 1500 urban, 1600 rural" - never mind the bullshit the union are handing out that everyone should be finished by 1430 and most before that. That's NOT what the managers are being told and it is supposed to be the same agreement. There is a passage that also says that Managers will be affected too and the are gooing to speak to the CMA ? will that be before we vote or after - are the managers on board or not.

Tell Royal Mail to turn down work and stay at 3 items per week
No! What we are simply saying is lift the cap.... End of! Simple enough to negotiate!!

If the product dies then I would accept the loss of earnings.

If it increases the ones who do the proportionate amount of work get rewarded! Simple enough even for me!!

This is the deal the delivery members wanted! How hard would that have been to negotiate? Now we share nothing apart from a small increase on the £20.60 every so often! Whoopee doo!! Royal Mail will now get the lot!! :evil/mad

I still can't get the putting it into workload nonsense as i already do at a rate of 20% /day? If I have 3 items it takes me three times longer to prep than if I get one? I do that work in duty time so what will be the difference? If I was to have six items it would take me six times longer! Isn't it all that simple?

You can't ,they've failed you. Just vote no then deselect all those who recommend this pay cut; because they are unwilling to, or incapable of defending your terms and conditions

There's the crux of it,its only the delivery postmen who actually deliver d2d's who will lose money, there counting on everyone else who does'nt do d2d's to carry it through.Which I think they will, then I stop my subs.
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

count d2d as workload it increases by about 1400 items a week which stops their cuts in their tracks that with 1 hour off a week that in its self does not mean
much but added to increase work load with d2d should add enough time to most rounds to make cuts hard to push through plus if their can get d2d bundled in to one envople where will leave us in short term term agreement is painful but mid to long term i do not know its a leap of faith have the cwu got it right!!!!!!

But surely D2D in one envelope will lead you back to those very cuts again. :hmmmm

You can't argue both sides of the same argument.
It's not a leap of faith it's a plunge into a watery abyss. :cuppa

Or a cut in the WW.

I'm sure this rumour is being pushed to make this d2d shafting seem more palatable. ;liar :evil/mad

Not at all

This all into one idea has come about due to it being the system used by other major postal operators and RML belive they may be able to gain from having the same system. Will it actually become a everyday viable working reality for the UK market remains to be seen.

First time I've seen it (and boy has it come at a convenient moment!) but the fliers are really thin paper, the whole thing is not much thicker/heavier than a gas bill.

10 leaflets next week then, two of them at 1.67p, the other eight only get 1.75p between them!

I'd have been the first to agree that firms wouldn't want their ads lumping together with someone else's but I've been proved wrong today - obviously it could happen.

If the price is right companies may well not mind the lumping together.

How can you argue on the one hand D2D into workload will save jobs and then on the other hand lets screw it all up by lumping them all into one envelope.

But with good support for strikes after 86% vote for them ending up with getting a deal as bad as this, many will not now believe that further strikes will get the same support or achieve any better so will reluctantly vote for the deal.

How odd , just becaause i would like a 4 day week, does not mean I will get one, I shall look before I leap and that includes saturdays as well.

I refer you to my SWW comments. That would help with jobs would it not? Its called plan B :chuckle

DTD increase, but all in one, is a revenue boost only and will not help with saving delivery jobs. SWW is the answer to that one.

However you miss my point and that is would all in one be tolerable for some companies if the price was lower? The answer I have no idea, but some market research by RML might not go amiss before RML start going down this road.

Did we not all go on strike because we were being bullied and harrassed by management to hit unrealistic budgets? Did we not all go on strike because unmanageable change was being forced through without agreement. All that has been addressed in the new agreement. CWU involvement at every stage and regular progress meetings with the involvement of ACAS. A 7% pay rise over 3 years and £1000 bonuses attached, a shorter working week. full time work protected and increased with D2D going into the workload so no real chance of slack in the working day, therefore no lapsing duties. and a £20.60 delivery supplement. HCTs Vans etc all brought into help us. You cant be forced to work over-time. No one can be forced to leave, buy down or go part-time.

AND WE ARE STILL NOT HAPPY??? I can see the press headlines now if this deal gets a no vote. We will be spat on in the streets. esp when people left right and centre are being made redundant or cant get a job for love nor money!!!

Some people wont change and cant change no matter how much they get!! The "good old days" of getting finished at 10am and paid till 1pm are long gone!! The sooner that is understood the better.
