London says yes to further strikes

The National review meeting went reasonably well yesterday the CWU got our points across very effectively in from of ACAS and the independant chair. Royal Mail now have to produce their projected headcount reduction - in confidence. Also because of the CWU recieving certain documents outlining secret regional plans Royal Mail now have to produce all of their regional plans. Progress is slow especially in delivery it is literally nil and this point was made forcibly today.

There are still major problems in London ACAS have now become more involved and all efforts are being made to sort this out by Monday. It looks like London is being ringfenced and at present there is very little or no engagement in regard to the interim agreement in London.

Is being ringfenced by whom? That is a term normally in reference to a financial aspect of something. Do they not mean ignored?

Oh not comparing them to cherubs - just my attempt to show the link between RM press Office and Hellmails Fax Machine. Far to cosy, they never question the corporate approach of RM, and as Editors never show sympathy to the Unions position.

TBH its a on-line version of the Courier to me and whenever they do present the Unions side they always seem to have a dig at us as well. Remember the Dark Side article and skin heads reunion.

how hard is it put a hidden camera on a postie in the D.O's that are getting shite from the managers,then put it on national tv,the public are well hacked off with the CWU & RM trying to score points against each other,the opinion in my office is that support was wavering against the strike cos the union was making a complete arse of itself in the public eye,show the facts to the public from grass roots,not some Trotsky ish crap from the CWU

The only real support we have got has been from an independent TV program namely the one with the marine trying to walk at four miles per hour and Roy Mayells book. Both had nothing to do with the CWU.
