As ive said before clashcityrocker RM no longer negotiate they consult. Please answer me this if the NW management refuse to enter into meaningful negotiation but the management in London do, does that mean we are all back out?? What gives the EC the right to call off any strike action without even consulting the members??

Now if we cancelled the action for the 6th & 9th but annouced new dates for the 13th and 16th that would of been ok and in the mean time Dave ward an the EC should have invited all the div reps, branch secs and area reps to London to explain why they think the strike should be called off, after giving there reasons all of the above should debated and then those present should have been asked to vote on whether it is enough to postpone I/A?? That is what a real democratic organisation would have done!!

i really can't see anyone in the south east office supporting any further strike's the union has f**ked it's self.

Why are we even giving Royal Mail the chance and breathing space not to play ball!? We were so close to FORCING them to play ball.

How can we trust them to play ball? This is the very same Royal Mail that had a secret document with all sorts of dirty tactics in it. The very same Royal Mail with managers that work for a bonus rather than the needs of the workforce. The very same Royal Mail where the managers bully, harass and intimidate the workforce into trying to work to the times and figures generated by a computer. The very same Royal Mail which quite frankly does not give a sh*t about it's workforce.

You are completely right that tis is not worth that.But lets not forget that royalmail wanted to steamroller everything through with no talks.At least they are talking.The EC were unanimous as far as I know(could be wrong),surely if there was nothing in this then at least one would have broken ranks?
Remember their people probably read this and if they think postmen on here are broken they will not negotiate in any meaningful way.If we are rolled over I will be the first to come on here and admit to being wrong but lets give it a few weeks.

you have to understand that some of us have lost 18 day's of pay backing this strike and waiting for the rest of the country to join us. we've had people in my office struggle to keep their head above the sh*t line but still we stayed 100% behind the strike. and now we're asking for what. does anyone really think that the manager's will want to carry on talking after xmas. nearly a month's pay lost freindship's put under a great strain and this is what the union deliver us................ we're not that green we can't see what's going to happen once xmas has come and gone.

ive been working for royal mail 6 years and been full time the last 18 months,in order to be made up i had to take on an extra 200 calls as the indoor work just wasnt there on the ips,not through lack of mail but through effictent sorters the amount of mail we get would make a donkeys back bend.Saying this i cant understand all of you wanting to strike all rail mail want you 2 do is work the hours your paid for as in any other job as for redundancies wouldnt u they rather b voluntarilly instead of compulsory.My walk has over 750 calls im out at 9 and finish my delivery at 2,its hard going but its what im paid for,it seems in my opinion that too many postman have had it too easy over the years and have milked royal mail for 2 long.Allegedly postmen up in london finish by 12 but still get paid till 2,work it out your striking for posties who get paid 10 - 12 hours for doing sod all.Weve been lapsing in my office for the past year anyway which makes it more fool them striking for posties that wont do what there already doing.Im not saying dont strike,but it pisses me off when you got posties being snidey and vindictive towards u when u know u work f***ing twice as hard as them.As an example theres a postie in my office who does his round does his lapse and is still on his way home by 12.30 everyday no matter how heavy it is.Problem with most of u is you havnt ever worked anywhere else,try working on site for 12 hours a day in the rain and muck lifting muddy roof trusses up on to scaffolding 1st thing in the morning, then youll see how easy you got it.This is the EASIEST JOB IVE EVER HAD,but the SPINLESS CWU have gone and ruined that forever,the reason why they lost there bottle in my opinion is,that in my area alone which is the cardiff 30% 40% were going back too work this friday,and thats just cardiff the union were losing the support of the posties who were starting to realise how easy london has got it.Thing im a different generation to you lot i was born in the year that they called the winter of discontent,ive only ever seen unions as trouble makers lining there own pockets just likt royal mail executives.PLEASE PLEASE REPLY,WHERES YOUR ARGUMENT.
