Well spin on this, we can make them cheaper elsewhere". May not be fair but thats life chum and in this climate beggars can't be choosers.
how about competition and overproduction amongst car makers around the world , does that have anything to do with it ? also explain to me why do we privatise profits but nationlize debts in this wonderful fair system Mr NT ?

Can any of you make a cogent or coherent argument? Unconnected phrases slung together as some sort of point or rebuttal must make any casual visitor here think RM privatisation can't come soon enough... :arrrghhh

We are, they don't, it's a long game , nothing stays the same, and who cares what you think (apart from M.White who said that S. Lawson said "NT is probably the most gifted and prophetic economic pundit creation has ever seen" Or did I say that's what Lawson said to White either way it's there in cack and white so it must be true) Engage brain you will like it,

Some people aspire to be a beggar and others wish to raise us all above that! I can see that some RMC members are nothing more than dross and want everyone else to join them in their level and thats so sad!

Dennis Skinner asks what action will be taken against those bankers that have run their businesses into the ground, "those Tory fat cats…" he continues, but the reaction is too loud for him to continue. The Speaker intervenes. Then: "Those Tory fat cats at the banks can't blame the trade unions this time. At another general election, they would have been described as the 'enemy within'
or-
Yet more patronizing drivel Nothing at all invariable about union actions, some sell out their members on a regular basis ,the car industry is dead now with no help at all from any union and in past times surely we all now know who Red Robbo got his extra paychecks from and where he went to continue the good work.
Also ,not much point delivering mail intended for Stockport to houses in Sierra Leon

Meaningless irrelevant sound-bites, the lot of them. Now you see what I mean....

No - I still don't - all those replies when in context made sense to me. I may or may not agree with them but they still made sense.

Add the above to your list of meaningless, irrelevant soundbites.

And you haven't responded to my challenge yet. (see above)

Add the above to your list of meaningless, irrelevant soundbites.

I don't think so, it's a paragraph with a beginning, a point, and an end, unlike most of the quotes; but then I'm biased.
The "and the same to you" debating tactic is best left in the playground though.
And you haven't responded to my challenge yet. (see above)
No I haven't, but then as you rightly said, rather than go off-topic, I could start a new one. It'll take a little thought, because there's a whole lot that can be added to the premise of "CWU - dinosaur or not".

Nice to see you back. Knew you couldn't stay away too long, blood pressure or not.. :wave

Agent, although I can only applaud your steadfast love of repetition, you DO take this to the extreme.
You've done the "you're a manager" theme to death. Pointless the first time but merely banal now, so move on. :pray

linkinpark wrote:Britain’s flexible workforce is used by the employer to keep wages down and deny rights to working people that many on here take for granted! Agency workers do have a place in working life in most firms, it can be used to fill a position and find out if an employee can cope with and do the job unlike the traditional interview that fails to do this without the worry of having to sack someone after the trial period and go to the cost of re-interviewing and all those added costs of training so that has to be better both for the employer and employee. It should be used to plug a short term shortage of skills like those caused by short and medium term sickness and pregnancy, it is also quite good for people working in agriculture at harvesting time so that workers are able to move from one crop, area, and employer as the different harvests and seasons move and become ready. It should never be used by the employer to keep a workforces terms and conditions low because a workforce is cowed by the fear of not knowing if they have a job the following day this in my mind is like mental torture and can be very destructive both to the workers health and the family unit as whole in the form of the stress that this kind of worry causes. After all how can you plan for next years holiday or a pension if you don’t know if you will have a job the following day.

Well done Linkinpark. An excellent overview of the pros and cons of agency working.

Your throwing around words and phrases like "Meaningless irrelevant sound-bites" "love of repetition" "Pointless" "merely banal" "Can any of you make a cogent or coherent argument" "steadfast love of repetition". You sound like you are very frustrated, angry and impotent like you have had a very bad day that’s all.
Don't follow your reasoning there, Cracker. After all, you are prone to posting rants full of !!!! yourself, so do you class yourself as being angry and frustrated, etc too?

It's OK, that was a rhetorical question; I know the answer already. :wave

Fools must pretend to be wise with a faith that they use as a heavy disguise.

As you say T-man, nothing other than stuck groove and union leaders that are one week the bees-knees, next week they're not. So much unity.

Sundays, don't you just love them. :)
