Of course its fraudulent. Like charging for 9 am and 1pm delivery and not providing the service. I was once asked by a local take away if it was worth getting RM to deliver advertising leaflets for them. I laughed at them and told them some home truths. I wonder where RM dump all the excess ? Aren't there any checks they are actually delivered? ( independently)

We have hardly any non drivers , a few on hct , so the d td plan falls flat and has been . Jobs are so uneven , some dragging there feet , while some working hard and still failing. Roll on xmasA2B wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 17:25That is not the case everywhere, HCT are used on Saturday in a nearby office and I guess a lot of urban areas will be doing the same.Mr Rush wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 17:06No. However, under DM26 someone has to put them in before the start of the week in order that a duty can clear them in a minimum of two passes (ie, a walk only going out Tuesday and Thursday). In practice this means they need to be in on Saturday to free up Monday prep, and in practice the number one unutilised resource on a Saturday will be non-drivers as all outdoor tasks require driving. In offices without non-drivers, some proportion of drivers will be staying in to prep them instead.
In actual practice, D2D is right at the bottom of the fabled list of priorities. If walks aren't shifting (which wasn't supposed to happen) then non-drivers will be sent out to clear something on foot. It was anticipated in the model that if packet or 1C volumes exceed the capabilities of a single person then non-drivers or unassigned drivers alike can be paired with someone to help out.
Resourcing is management's problem, though. It's their call who does what. It's weak management if OPGs are ruling the roost. It feels wrong to say that when almost always you just want them to leave you alone so you can get on with things, yet unfortunately there's plenty of colleagues who cannot be trusted to do an honest day's work.
There never was or will be a time when we all work the same way, I guess that's why they have said to local managers get DM26 done in anyway you can.
Fairly sure I've read on here of offices paying OT to put D2D in before shift

We are now told d2d has to be thrown in Mon & Tues before any mail is touched, and in the same breath we're told we are getting out at least a hour to late! managers are getting like call centres, sticking to a script and not using common sense, they can see what's going on, but insist it's manageable

I had similar, told it should only take 20 mins to prep 4 lots of D2Ds into a 900 call frame. 3600 items in 20 minutes. I worked out every second you’d need to get 3 D2Ds into the frame, that’s assuming you don’t get stopped by a manager or asked if you know what address this parcel that just says Mrs Jones on is for.fadetogrey63 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2026, 18:59We are now told d2d has to be thrown in Mon & Tues before any mail is touched, and in the same breath we're told we are getting out at least a hour to late! managers are getting like call centres, sticking to a script and not using common sense, they can see what's going on, but insist it's manageable
Just not possible unless you’re Superman.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: LTB 248/26 – Update on Delivery Model 26 (DM26)
Yet again on a Saturday we have all the full time staff pairings that are in going out in a shared van with packets and 1C only, yet part time staff arrive in to be told they are on their own on a double frame doing the same.
No one doing indoor work.
What a mess.

Re: LTB 248/26 – Update on Delivery Model 26 (DM26)
Surely the FT staff pairing should be doing more sorting, more frame prep (the P/T singleton double frame), taking some backlog loops/oversized or doing D2D when they get back?
Managers should be managing.......

None of what you suggest is happening.yellowbelly wrote: ↑10 Oct 2026, 10:40Surely the FT staff pairing should be doing more sorting, more frame prep (the P/T singleton double frame), taking some backlog loops/oversized or doing D2D when they get back?

At the crux of all this is the vagueness of what the spare staff are meant to be doing on a Saturday (driving AND non driving) and the blame for that lies firmly at the creators of DM26, with incompetent managers being left to find ‘local solutions’.
Like I say, a total mess.

We don't have sufficient staff on a Saturday in our DO to allow them to.prep.frames etc?yellowbelly wrote: ↑10 Oct 2026, 10:40Surely the FT staff pairing should be doing more sorting, more frame prep (the P/T singleton double frame), taking some backlog loops/oversized or doing D2D when they get back?

Re: LTB 248/26 – Update on Delivery Model 26 (DM26)
Why is prepping door to doors or indoor work seen as silly?

Re: LTB 248/26 – Update on Delivery Model 26 (DM26)
Different offices - different situations? Was merely responding to Perseus who seemed to imply that the F/T pairing had spare time compared to the P/T singleton on a double frame.TopperGas wrote: ↑10 Oct 2026, 19:01We don't have sufficient staff on a Saturday in our DO to allow them to.prep.frames etc?yellowbelly wrote: ↑10 Oct 2026, 10:40Surely the FT staff pairing should be doing more sorting, more frame prep (the P/T singleton double frame), taking some backlog loops/oversized or doing D2D when they get back?

It's difficult to know if they've got spare time or are using up what time they've got to deliver items?

Re: LTB 248/26 – Update on Delivery Model 26 (DM26)
Had a visit from some higher-up bods. our massive, four-week-high pile of D2D that was sitting under the frame, suddenly disappeared 🪄 I have absolutely no idea where it went, but what a result!
I still can't quite believe our luck.
