Re: Royal Mail/People/Robin app
Finally managed to get on it. Can’t work it out……seems to be full of customers asking questions like “why is the RM app down”, “why can’t I track a package” etc etc. I thought it was meant for employees

They make a fuss about this and Mothers day cards, but thoughout rest of year they are happy to let birthday cards and 1st class mail sit in frames for days on end

I don't have a smart phone so I won't be using it, only a home pc.

Robin just as a link to the People App unless RM ever decide to force staff to access it via Robin it should work indefinitely. What's a bit disconcerting is there's no security controls, so if somebody gains access to your phone they can open Robin then open the People app and see all your personal details, even a family member etc who knows your phone pin can now gain access.

You can lock individual apps if you really want to, on an iPhone it's built in, you can choose between face id or passcode I think, some androids have built in methods but there's apps you can install that do it.TopperGas wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 12:41Robin just as a link to the People App unless RM ever decide to force staff to access it via Robin it should work indefinitely. Re: Royal Mail/People/Robin app
It really is just a load of happy clappy garbage.
I must work for a totally different company to the one people talk about on the app, it’s just utterly bizarre that there is this Royal Mail bubble where so many people “earn “ a living!
The good thing is that it looks like you can just instantly post your observations of the tripe these happy clappy types are putting on there.
Maybe we need a big push by delivery staff to actually post the truth on there in response to their self congratulatory bollocks.

But you don't need to lock bank apps etc they do it automatically?ted_e_bear wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 13:19You can lock individual apps if you really want to, on an iPhone it's built in, you can choose between face id or passcode I think, some androids have built in methods but there's apps you can install that do it.TopperGas wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 12:41Robin just as a link to the People App unless RM ever decide to force staff to access it via Robin it should work indefinitely. I doubt that would be a good move, no doubt if you posted anything too negative then you'd be summoned into the manager's office for a quick chat!GRS wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025, 20:52It really is just a load of happy clappy garbage.

Re: Royal Mail/People/Robin app
Nonsense!!!! As long as you’re not abusive or rude then you’re fully entitled to post on there. You can’t put a social media app out for staff to “engage” with and then say “ oh but only post nice things please “.TopperGas wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025, 21:35I doubt that would be a good move, no doubt if you posted anything too negative then you'd be summoned into the manager's office for a quick chat!GRS wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025, 20:52It really is just a load of happy clappy garbage.

Why are people so scared in this country of telling and facing the truth? This had been going for years and look where it leads…..you’ve only got to watch the news to see what happens when people shy away from the truth!!
