I noticed there's a big push made for more Saturdays off , when we're we ever consulted on this. Would there be an option to have more of a different day off 🤔
I reckon 90% of day off requests must be for Saturdays. Working 5 out of 6 was bearable when you were done for 11AM fifteen f***ing years ago. It has long been known that working Saturdays is unpopular.

Saturday attendances will be significantly shorter than weekday attendances. To assist this Mailsort 3 need not be scheduled for delivery and missort runs should be rescheduled to enable an earlier start on town residential delivery routes.
Anyone know what time they finish on Saturday in the pilot offices then?

The choice of attendance patterns all have Saturdays as 7 hours apart from the std 1 in 6 which is slightly more at 7.12mins

Good question here's the 2 in 5 sats off that apparently the pilot offices chose, it says the day off cover is PT so presumably the 5 duties are FT unless I'm missing something it looks to me that the PT cover person does 4 days Mon,Tues, Thurs Fri every week

Check the date on the quotation: it's 2006 referring to SDD agreement! I was using it to demonstate my point about Saturday attendance being long acknowledged as unpopular.
The machine stops.

We still have one, someone gets sent over the the MC in a van to collect it. Nobody is allowed to leave the DO until it is prepped and ready to go.

Wow, I remember the reason for them was to ensure that all the mail was delivered on time as it should have been, but now what's the point when mail sits in the fitting undelivered until the following day if you're lucky

You would have to ask the COMs what the point of it is, I would imagine it's to deliver the Tracked same day they are picked up off the loading bay for our DO. The letters just get prepped into frames to be delivered whenever they have the resources.

Ah my mistake, for a minute I foolishly thought they must give a f**k about the letters at your office :chuckle

How long do you have to sit around waiting for the miss sorts to arrive? We have half a york of them at our DO each day and they are just returned to the MC for resorting when the wagon arrives.
