Re: LTB 258/23 - UNAGREED EXTENSION OF MY PERFORMANCE APP
Can’t wait to see on this performance app how they are going to compare staff who are 18 years old with staff who are in their twilight years, staff who are 5 feet tall with staff who are 6 feet tall, staff who are physically fit with staff who aren’t…. the list goes on and on.
Unfairness, favouring of individuals, bullying, ageism, yet again the list could go on on.
Asked Rep about it and he said the information gained on any individual cannot be used against them but to help them… hmmmmm … somehow I can’t see that.

Despite it entirely contravening employment law you cannot see it? Royal Mail are not able to discriminate against people the way you seem to think.lobsterhands wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 16:02Can’t wait to see on this performance app how they are going to compare staff who are 18 years old with staff who are in their twilight years, staff who are 5 feet tall with staff who are 6 feet tall, staff who are physically fit with staff who aren’t…. the list goes on and on.

I do hope your correct but stuff I’ve seen over the years from managers makes me doubt it.

They will if they think they can get away with it. If the cost of getting loyal- I mean legacy staff off the payroll is a couple of tribunal losses then they'll take the lesser hit. Does this strike you as a company that feels inhibited by the strong hand of the law on its shoulder?
The machine stops.

Then staff need to toughen up and call them out on it. This is the very reason we still need strong union support, and why the whinging on this site about them is unhelpful. And again, they may want to replace all of us with workers on these new shitty contracts, but I think the penny has dropped and they realise that nobody actually wants to work for RM any more, when you can get a job elsewhere with better terms easily enough.Mr Rush wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 22:47They will if they think they can get away with it. You can only push staff so far, and relying on number crunching, as RM have done for years now, is going to eventually come to a head. We need to appreciate the power we still have in the workplace. They aren’t going to make money for shareholders without workers to actually do the work.

Was going to say that myself but also add in your Trimble report, no chance of quickly nipping from one parcel to the next, if you drive any brisker or more erratic than a funeral procession then they'll have you, and don't even think about speeding.
