You are a lost cause pal, an utter waste of time debating anything with you as you will never see anyone elses viewpoint, and you will only agree with a view that fits your narrow minded view of the world, your problem not mine, go and glue yourself to a road somewhere.stan_lers wrote: ↑28 Dec 2022, 23:03Every result on Google except for their own website is proving their arguments wrong. Not to mention, anybody can sign their petition - though funnily enough they do request that you make a recurring £100 donation when you do.
Your friend is basically like a surgeon saying he can't talk about using power tools for brain surgery or he'll lose his job. Of course he will, because he's wrong. The science says that the climate is warming, faster than predicted, and there are hundreds of thousands of peer-reviewed studies backing this up. If he's a scientist and he doesn't agree with the science, then of course he'll be outcast.
The oil giants - the richest and most powerful companies in human history - have ADMITTED to funding misinformation and you just wave it away. That says it all - you will ignore anything that proves the consensus just to think that you're enlightened to the scam. You really think wind farm companies can compete with Shell and BP when it comes to paying off politicians?
The Pfizer CEO never said that the vaccine doesn't prevent you from catching or spreading Covid, that is a lie. He said that it wasn't tested on preventing transmission, but that it did nonetheless. All of your arguments are easily proven wrong, or are flat out lies.
You said it yourself - net zero won't affect billionaires, and rather than stand with the working class and demand that it does, ie higher taxes on billionaires who produce thousands of times more CO2 than the rest of us, you go down this insane rabbit hole. That is the only way to achieve net zero so don't you think maybe they have something to do with the Youtube accounts and Facebook videos that you base your "science" on?

According to the BMJ…
“Vaccines aren’t preventing onward transmission by reducing the viral load—or amount of SARS-CoV-2—in your body. “Most studies show if you got an infection after vaccination, compared with someone who got an infection without a vaccine, you were pretty much shedding roughly the same amount of virus,” says Paul Hunter, professor in medicine at the University of East Anglia. One study,5 sponsored by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), found “no difference in infectious virus titer between groups” who had been vaccinated and had not.”
But can you still catch it after being vaccinated?
“Yes. Breakthrough COVID-19 cases happen in people who are fully vaccinated, and they seem to happen more frequently now that the delta variant is circulating widely and immunity may be waning among those who got the vaccine many months ago. All three available coronavirus vaccines are very good at protecting you against severe forms of COVID-19, but they are not 100% effective in preventing infection.”
The above quotes are from The British Medical Journal and HopkinsMedical.
So although the vaccinations may stop you getting severe forms of covid it won’t stop you catching it or spreading it. So all these vaccinated only events and vaccine passports were basically ‘super spreaders’ for the jabbed.
The silly rules like “you can go out but wear a mask unless you are eating, drinking or dancing’ were based on, well, who knows.
And doctors were paid to give the vaccine jab. More than they usually got for the standard flu jab. Its always gone on.
But the main thing for me was the ‘died within 30/60’ days. If you did that with the standard Flu or any illness it would inflate the figures no end. Most cases of covid are mild (it’s still mainly the at risk groups that are in danger - and IMO the vaccine should have stayed with that group only) and most people have had covid now. Usually lasts for 5 days and some people don’t even know they have it. But if that persons dies within a month of a positive test, for whatever reason, covid is listed as one of the causes.
As other people have mentioned, the dodgy million/billion quid deals being made my politicians and their mates and their own hypocrisy throughout it all give more than enough reason to not trust them.

Say what you like those Fiat Doblos were horrendous. I spent at about once a month a year taking it to the workshop. In the end the fumes were leaking in the cabin. Yes you may struggle to find a charging point sometimes but our nearest fuel station was miles away. Can't find a single postman who preferred the old vans.

Bigger things than covid-19 vaccine resistance on here this is how they spent the money in royal mail by saying nothing is left for us the workers.
And we should accept the terms as they say in their latest begging letter. I say with a £1.7 billion war chest and and all you could throw at this dispute you have got nowhere and fast. Thing is your the destroyers of this business or once great public service your reducing the service and not growing it how can you cay that. It is at odds with your letter dated 15/12/2022 which I only received yesterday and in fact the whole letter was disingenuous to a point and can conclude from this that. I await your resignation and that of the whole board with anticipation as you have all put your self interests above the business and the service and the people who provide that service.

It’s almost as if they’re planning for Royal Mail to be taken back into public ownership by 2030, after they’ve set up their parcel business off the back of RM’s USO obligation.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

THIS government sold off Royal Mail so they won’t take it back but there will probably be a change of gov before 2030.

Haven't read all this thread as there's pages of it.
Royal Mail want more owner drivers. That is really the only way that this model will be affordable in the long term. With self employed drivers paying a weekly rent for the van.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I meant an actual change of government.

Part TWO here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj53q_9dZak This is how one sad sack of a CEO destroyed an institution of communications infrastructure of this nation.
