Well it sounds like a remarkable way of slowing down the faster posties. What about the postie that gets dropped off at home?? Do they not get paid if they don't clock out?
Health and safety dictates that all OPG's should be going back to the office to sign out. Royal mails own rules say they should be going back and if back early their managers should be giving them work to do ie lapsing or cut offs.

It's quite simple really you're paid until that time so you don't clock out until that time.
