SD gets a higher compensation level as standard, and enhanced cover such as consequential loss for extra, so I disagree. I think they will complement each other.

I don't know whether anybody can go into a post office and send something via 'tracked' as I have never tried. I have personally sent paperwork & occasionally cheques using SD as I wanted to make sure the items arrived as soon as possible and that they would definitely get there. For me personally its never a matter of trust that a postie may steal the item. It is instead to meet a time deadline or because I didn't trust the relevant UK government department to not deny they received the item or screw me over.

afail it's only when it's a Tracked return going back to a company. Only firms can use Tracked and afaik they have to post a certain amount of mail at minimum on a regualr basis to be able to use Tracked

Might sound stupid but with this pda capture so u have to carry your pda with you constantly? There are times we have a small loop to do for example and no parcels or letters need scanning so jump out without pda. How does it capture that data ?

I'm guessing you might be asked why the PDA didn't move for X amount of time and explain it. Then probably told you have to carry on you at all times

Just have the PDA in one of the front pockets of the mail pouch you are using. Then the PDA will be on the move all the time. Or ask your DOM to order one of the PDA holsters for you to wear.
