Holiday Pay?

After many telephone calls and complaint letters i have being paid almost all of the money angard owed me..even the paid holidays.I have received 7 payslips..some o f them with 20 or 30 pounds payment..Still 9 working hours missing and considering this the paid holidays are less than they should be.They told me that the Royal mail doesn't find these missing working hours but i am non intending to leave this matter like this but i don't know what else to do. I wouldn't like to give them the pleasure of working for free not even 1 hour.

I had the same problem but have resolved the missing hours and been paid for them.
Have you tried calling the RM centre where you worked ? I did this and they found the issue - they hadn't submitted my time sheet correctly to Angard. Sorted 3 days after phone call to RM.

Thank you for your advice Nick.I did call Royal mail branch where i have worked but without any result.They told me that i should contact Angard only because Royal Mail has got nothing to do with payments....I told them that i have already spoken with Angard so many times and that they you need to double check my working time sheet to confitm that it is wrong because i haven't got paid all of my working hours properly..still Royal Mail continued this same politic: Royal Mail gives the ball to Angard and Angard gives it back again again to Royal Mail to avoid paying Christmas casual workers...they should be ashamed of themselves..especially Royal Mail who hired these Angard Staffing thieves.

I hope everyone thats owed money has done a ET1 this is beyond a joke. I feel so sorry and annoyed for all you people that has battled for the money you worked so hard to get and now all the bullshit that your having to go through now. .

Oh and dont when you get your case number sent e-mail to one of the royalmail top people with your number on it

Angard IS Royal Mail. Royal Mail did not hire Angard - they own it and possibly created it. What Royal Mail have done is brought in REED to manage/mismanage it.

Suggest you now contact Moya Greene, John Duncan and Mark Higson at Royal Mail. E-mails for these are in a number of threads on this site and probably earlier in this thread. Contacting these appears to get things done. I am sure they would be interested in the passing the buck attitude you are getting from both Angard and Royal Mail.

I was going to say that Verging, but I thought that I would wait & see how long before you replied! I actually got into an arguement at TRMC, when I put somebody right about Angard! Anyway, I have actually been paid now! The missing shift from 2 weeks ago (when most of my missing money was paid) was paid into my bank account today & the payslip arrived aswell! On both Thursday & Friday last week, I had a phone call from Angard asking me if everything had been sorted. I would agree with you that the best way to get paid is to email the top people. Ok I emailed them in December, but keep doing it now. No, I didn't go down the ET route.

I was at an MDEC and finished long ago, I won't be back unless I don't find a permanent job and go back for the next season in November. I asked about this on the 2nd of January because I know where Angard's local base is so I went in. They said they were issuing P45s en masse later on and holiday pay would be paid then. I've just checked my bank statements and in 2012 it happened on the 20th of January. So I'm not panicking but I want to get a few things and benefits won't pay for them as despite the lies in the right-wing press I'm on next to nothing now and it'll be even worse if I haven't got a job by April. :dcfo

I want to receive what I have EARNED, I haven't yet but I think it's normal for Angard to be this way. Give them a ring if you want.

I got sent an email sometime before Christmas with instructions on how to claim Holiday Pay and as an attachment a form to fill in. It doesn't say on the new payslips how much holiday has been accrued so you have to email to find out. I got an response fairly quickly and found that I had about 96 hours. All you do is fill in the form and say which week or days you are claiming it for and then in theory you get it paid on the Friday of that week. You don't have to wait for a week like normal wages. As I have claimed for the 1st friday in Feb, I can't say yet whether or not the system works!
I think it has to be claimed by the end of March.

Also, you are supposed to be restricted on the hours you can claim per week to the average number of hours worked over the previous 12 week period and a maximum of 40 hours per week - whichever is least. If you have 96 hours you may need to book some hours per week from now until the 8th - dependent upon your average hours worked.

I worked at an MDEC and haven't had any payslips/confirmation/P45 through about Holiday pay, but did receive a payment today of what I'd calculated it'd be.

I succesfully claimed ( after enquring by phone) 40 hours for a week in October, despite my average being 15- 20 hours. Enforcement of the rules seem a bit hit and miss!
