Can you point me to where I can see the deal.
Cheers.
It’s the same one the CWU have been putting you off. Maybe it’s worse now. But better than nothing.
there is no chance of that deal, or any deal (IMO) now. RM get what they want with insolvency. It makes no sense for them to agree to increasing pay at this point.
So what are the CWU fighting for now? If the writing is on the wall then what can they do?
Their own survival. People need to engage critical thinking and realise both sides have an agenda now.

The strikes that are imminent to be announced this week will bring a legal challenge from RM for this very reason, the elections. Whichever way we turn at the moment it seems we are absolutely screwed.

We are not screwed. Calm down and stick together.
Time to call their bluff and put the ball back in their court.

Have to agree as any strikes now will be met with an injunction application for the simple reason Local Authorities and political campaign managers will have no time to put into place alternatives with election material. Furthermore, any disruption will be met with a compensation claim for election material already in place, or about to be delivered.

Simply announce a plan to strike for the full week in May when RM must release their financial results.

The very fact that they separated RM from the other subsidiaries should indicate this was the plan in the first place.
They are deliberately trying to offload letters so aren’t interested in doing a deal except if we give them what they want, which is for us to subsidise their dividends.

In my opinion Royal Mail will be under state control and an administrator appointed to run the company.

To try and save the company if no additional funding can be acquired, GLS will be sold to Daniel Křetínský. The Government has already given the green light.

Contracts of employment will be history with terms and conditions to bring the business back into profit and offset its debt to capital ratio. The appointed administrator has that power

This will all depend on if a deal can be reached by the CWU and Royal Mail that expires tomorrow

BBC ARTICLE OUT 50 MINS AGO....

Royal Mail talks over pay on brink of collapse

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-65099143

There is currently a pay offer of 9% over two years starting in April, including a 2% offer for 2022/23.

The business says modernisation is essential if the company is to improve its parcel delivery service.

Modernisation = owner drivers and a terrible letter delivery service.
