casls650 recently said on Workplace...

The wtll was put on delivery calendar for the Dom’s As per Dilo. This hasn’t worked effectively and we have a meeting with that team next week to see how it can be improved. We became aware through posts on here that some units had not been briefed, and so we issued a secondary brief via the area programme managers and received confirmation back that every unit had been briefed. Though from this post and the responses it seems that it hasn’t.

Also...
there was a faq workplace coach video, which is on content on demand...
But...
Though apologies due to an issue with the quality of the sound on the first recording it did have to be rerecorded again and so was only available a couple of days before go live.

So not the best start for the super dooper new product...

What happens if we only take a picture of the parcel and not the customer as well?

My understanding (no official brief received though) is you're not supposed to take a picture of the customer particularly
their face, but a picture of the parcel on the doorstep with the door open or dangling from the letterbox - so supposedly
that an investigation of a claim of non-delivery would be able to confirm delivery by the pattern of the hallway carpet
or the generic white PVC door LOL

That's right. It actually tells you on the PDA not to include the face when taking the picture.

I had one yesterday which required a photo BUT there was an inflight request to deliver to the shed which also requires a photo. As expected, nobody was in.

A bit confused now, does the inflight request trump photo of the door? Should I have slipped it?
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It’s worrying to hear that some people haven’t been briefed on capture photo on delivery. Can you message me if you haven’t and what unit and I will reach out to the Dom - I won’t say who told me. Thanks Carole.
Just a quick heads up, I have checked Carole's Royal Mail email address and name against Workplace (Nice hat btw) and she is the real deal.
If you guys want to PM me as you may be worried, I will pass on the info to her.

Also Carole is it possible you could get me the SOPs for photo on delivery that Agha Sadiq posted on Workplace so I can put them up on here please.
You can email me at admin@royalmailchat.co.uk

We have lots of downloads of various SOPs and operation documents and agreements which help the guys out and in the current circumstance, this would be good for us and them.

The Union has not sent them out to us yet.

Ta, and thanks for coming on.
Agha Sadiq on Workplace wrote:To support the introduction of ‘Photo Capture on Delivery’ we have jointly (RMG&CWU) updated the existing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Please share the new content within your units and ensure everyone is familiar with the procedural requirements.
Information on this initiative will be already in circulation with more to come over the next few days.

SOP D22.2 Deliver Barcoded Items
SOP D22.4 Deliver Multi Occupied Controlled Entry Buildings
SOP D22.9 Deliver Dedicated Parcel Routes (DPR)

I noticed you've been back on casls650, and no doubt looked through the thread, yet you have not contacted me in any way either way.
It seems whoever I contact, even those on Workplace, do not do what they say on the tin.
Is it a tanked share price thing?

If the customer now claims she never received the parcel you really couldn't dispute it, probably the official line would be to say "sorry to hear that I'll have to take the parcel back until you recover"!!

Could you not have said "Will you please go back inside, as I need to take a photo at the door"?

They need to make these photo one's emit an audible beep from the PDA, similar to the safeplace one.

New "P" in box to left of scan code today, rather than just telling me a parcel needs a photo when I confirm it's been delivered?

Really needs an alert window after initial scan to make sure we know it's a photo item.
