Good day all round. Done on time and it was dry.

Not the very best of days, It was looking light so i loaded the frame with extra d2d but then we were told a lorry had failed to start so they were having to unloaded it and send over another and we would have to wait.

Our loving dom suggested we all took our meal break at 8am so no one need to cut So we all sat about like numpties for 50 mins until finally we were told that the lorry would not be coming after all and we could bundle up.
So i ended up getting out later than a normal day with a load of extra d2d's.

I dont know if it was the stopping and sitting around early but i was frozen today

Aye, not fun at all. Quite a lot of cut-offs today. Managed to get some overtime in on a decent rate, for once. It's nice to see what managers can and will pay when they're desperate! And it's all monies in my bank before the great sacking.

Had a Special Delivery.
Rang the two bells on the door. Couldn't hear anything so knocked as well.
No signs of life inside so I wrote out the 739 card.
As I finished a light went on and eventually a woman came to the door.

Me: Good morning I have a Special Delivery for you.
Her: Yes I was expecting this.
She was expecting it but couldn't be arsed to open the door in a timely manner. Hand her the book and ask her to print and sign.

Her: I wasn't expecting this.
Me: No that is a little booklet I use to keep safe the bit of paper you are about to sign. Show her the A4 envelope with a SD sticker on it

She then just prints Dr. XXXXXXX. (Let's guard her anonymity)
Me: You need to sign as well.
She tuts and signs on some random part of the bit of paper.
I shake my head in disbelief, hand her her Special Delivery and leave, probably still shaking my head.

Is there a problem? - she calls after me but as the exchange which should have taken 2 minutes has already taken about 3 days I carry on my way.
I wonder what she was a Doctor of - Thickology perhaps?

very heavy day, local water company sent a letter to almost every house on my round, i assume they are about to start work on the supply and notifying home owners

Quite a light day with only 1 item to get signed

Back by 12.30 which is very good on my delivery. Stayed on for 30 mins getting the d2d's prepped so i dont fall behind.

Fall behind what?

Last week i fell behind the 20% a day d2d.

Had five lots inc a charity bag. So come sat i still had a few to do so i ended up booking an hours OT to clear them. This week i want to finish them on friday.

Cold, very cold, out at 09.00 and minus -4.5c , finished at 13.30 but had to wait 40 mins for driver to pick me up, was ok whilst delivering but frozen solid waiting for van, not good.

I am sorry to say its true the future is none too bright.

The plastic charity sacks are the biggest pain in the arse ever. Ive tried prepping them in the frame and they just jam up everything and then make the bundle as slippy as sheets of ice. So i take them out seperate but they bulk at every letter box and refuse to go through. They are the pits and pants, the devils work.
