Why isn't Mask policy being enforced?

I would object to being told that I have to wear a face mask in the office mainly because I believe that they could do more harm than good in restricting the amount of oxygen that I inhale. I could cope with the discomfort if it meant it would please the majority.
I do think that the jury is still out on wether masks work or not otherwise I think we would already be required to wear them in the office.

My position hasn't changed.
When we where told that we had to wear masks in the office I did make my feelings known to management but I did NOT refuse to comply. I did try wearing a mask and a visor.
I wouldn't expect anybody to understand because even I was totally shocked at the reaction it caused.
