we have too few sorters on the IPS to deal with whats coming in each morning,
the managers haven't got the 1st clue what to do about it, they tell us to cut off at about 07.45 to prep our walks and leave the mail to build up even more,
as far as i know, no one has been offered overtime to sort it, and if there was anyone who intended doing so, i'd have a not so quiet word with them.
Sound very similar
lol
I'm a couple of miles to the north, south east d.o.

Not much mail on again today in our D/O (not had a really busy day since we went
on strike)
however the transport yard looks like the gypsys have moved in blue tarps
covering loads of yorks (our backlog i presume)
managers not a clue how to get rid of it "OR"
are they waiting for this agreement to go through and then
start wheeling the whole lot into the office
saying "try that little lot for flexible working"
I wonder?

back log 'what back' log our office is clear but if you look around we do have a lot of yorks full of grey bags i guess it's can't be mail can it ? royal mail would never lie ? and the casuals aren't here either but we do have loads of strange people without uniforms but royal mail wouldn't lie would they?
big question is if all these managers are doing our jobs then just what do they do when not doing our jobs ?
and just how much is royal mail prepared to pay others to do our work have even been told that area managers have been out on walks 'but it takes two baby' don't know how much they earn but i guess it's circa £50,000

place a mess, managers have no clear strategy, our office (mostly) doing the job properly. 6 trays still under my frame . haven,t done a full delivery since we went back . seem to be delivering to fewer houses every day. went out at 11.30 today back in the office at 13.45 only completed 1/3 of walk. it,s great : :lfo :cfo
