Have we seen mass redundancies?

well 40,000 gone from Royal Mail in 10 years - but I suppose it depends on what you define as mass.

Have we seen 2 tier workforce?

Yes - Angard/Royal Mail - even just among the casuals their T&Cs, break entitlement and wages are different - ergo a 2 tier workforce, but I suppose to RM it doesn't count when they are casuals.

Have we seen pay reductions?

Not for all but at least 1 pay freeze for everyone, and a majority in deliveries received a pay cut when payment for D2Ds was withdrawn.

My inital concern is what is the point of accepting the wage increases and an inital £200 lump sum (pro rata on contract hours, no doubt, rather than hours worked on average over a period of time compared to 39hrs), when we may feel the need to ballot for strike action, due to increasingly more unachievable workloads on delivery.

The CWU are clearly saying we want your cash but we can't be arsed dealing with your issues and concerns, so just keep it coming chumps and by the way we're putting the subs up in January - as usual.
