Packets were completely dead I had 4 attendance calls for the whole walk - never had that before. Would have been a great day except Halifax sent our "Important" letters to people who had gone away. .
I got one as well yet I don't even have an account with them.

I had four mech bundles - which they still didn't bother to throw out - and a load of "missorts", which likewise were not thrown out. That's right, none of it was thrown out. Despite there being no mail. In terms of packets, I had half a packet bag. I managed to throw my walk out in forty minutes and my walk itself didn't take much longer than that .
A ridiculously light day. Done all my packets early so by the time I went out to take the postmen and their bags I had nothing left to deliver apart from my walk. That was so light I did all my D2Ds. I was done by 1015 and was still the last (of 5) driver back.
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.
All xmas it was relatively light (apart from packets). On the 23rd however it really picked up with loads of letters/flats, on Xmas Eve it was the worst day of pressure by a mile. I had 5 boxes of sequenced mail (the average day on my walk is 3), and it was nearly all Mailsort + DSA. I finished 2 hours later than I ever have on a Xmas Eve before.
What made it worse was the fact we were taking out bagfuls of shite and sat in the corner were 11 or 12 yorks of IPS xmas cards that the MC sent up for diversion work.Today was garbage again with tons of thick catalogues, and the cards are still sat there now.
