most of my office have now deilvered there poll cards and managers are still saying we do not get paid for them!!!! They say it's because they are addressed and are 2nd class we dont get paid!
i dont think we have to do election stuff :mfo well theres 1 party i wont b doing but i can live with 6p a door down might save the party some money to pay there expences
Any chance of doing none of the main three then? unless they would like to pay me, oh i dont know £10 a leaflet.
Just pop it on the expenses sheet no one will miss it
Our poll cards are not due in until 23rd May with the election leaflets due in the week before but we're only getting 3 days to deliver them, I can see trouble on the horizon

I can't be bothered doing them, so I may sub-contract them out to a PTer (taking the 6p payment and paying out 5p only joking if someone else wants to do them they can have all the payment).

We have an obligation to deliver election material. These are outside normal door to door agreements and attract a higher payment. I am sure that if you personally do not wish to do these items there will be a number of people in your office who will. Especially as we will be striking shortly by the look of it . Every little helps
Hang on wheres this 6p a item coming from we were told on monday there is a office pot that will be shared out so what should we be getting paid ? HELP on this.

If they are legitimate political parties, why should we be able to decide which leaflets we should deliver or not ?
Thats if democracy means anything...
They're legitimate but that doesn't change the fact that they're a very different kettle of fish to other parties. We wouldn't have a democracy, for a start, if they had their way. This combined with their openly bigoted membership policy makes them beyond the pale. I won't be delivering their shite under any circumstances.
