The agreement will be judged in future either way.
I must say Dvbuk...I like your style. In any DO it is always good to have members such as yourself with sensible,(and slightly sarcastic!), arguments. One thing that sticks out in your posts is the Part Timers. This stupid company implemented people on crap contracts.Of course with the pro-rata issues,(and it is always pro rate on everything), I will be putting them first, once,(or if) it comes in.

Once we get an input on this geo-route,I will be making sure that they come in..bag up and go! That is how it should of been and that is how I will make it. They will,(and it is up to ALL reps),squeeze every last drop of this deal for them.

However my feeling is they were implemented over full time vacancies. That will stop too.If there is a 39 hour vacancy then it will be filled by a 39 hour vacancy, the part timer will have a choice on that, via the Way Forward......All reps, take note!!!!!!!!
drb - despite what many on here may think I am not a total d*ckhead.

I am part time I will make that plain now, I took buy down nearly 5 years ago and have no intention of working any more hours, in fact some say I don't work any now. My defence of part time members therefore has nothing at all to do with my status. Although our office has a growing population we have employed more and more part time members, something that our rep has tried to avoid BUT you have to justify the indoor hours in order to make full time duties especially with a 3.5 hour delivery span, no longer the case under this agreement and that may be an avenue to create duties with increased hours, you will notice I do not say full time and there is a reason for that, which I am not too keen on divulging in open forum. I think that part time employees have been poorly served by this agreement in particular but no delivery officer is better off, even if there is an increase in pay for whatever reason the workload is indeterminate at present.

In many respects this revision will be a godsend as it is long overdue in our office and there are many anomalies that need to be rectified - a bit like spring cleaning and what better time to do it.
